SEO Tool Analysis: Ranking Coach

social-media-profile.jpg Today everything is about being in the right place in the right time. It also includes your place in the web, as the main resource of information from all kind.

If you want your business to have a healthy organic traffic, you have to boost your SEO (What’s SEO?) and there are tools you can use to guide you through this process.

Right now we will focus on a very good software called Ranking Coach. We have been working with it on clients with businesses of different kinds and they all had great results. We will now proceed to let you know some of the pros and cons we have encountered during our experience with this interesting SEO tool.

1.- Pro: Ranking Coach is an international software that places your business on its location and analizes your selected competition, their keywords and the response they’re getting from them. This will help you improve your keyword choices for your business so you can be more precise and stand out from others.
Con: You can only choose the language of the location your business is in. This can be a problem for people that don’t speak the native tongue of the place, and bad news is, you can’t change this setting. Though, your keywords can be in any language you desire as long as you have a place for them on your website.

2.- Pro: Ranking Coach provides step-by-step videos and text for more than 100 tasks in:
a) Website. Improve your subpages titles, descriptions and keywords, among other activities.
b) Social Media. Do you have a Facebook page? What about a GooglePlus business one? Those are the main platforms potential clients use to get what they want. Also, no one can deny the power of TripAdvisor and Yelp. If you can’t think of others, Ranking Coach will tell you which ones are good for you.
c) Backlinks. Best promotion is from mouth to mouth, or in this case, from one website to the user. Forums and field-related websites are a great way to move more visitors to your site. The software searches for your competition’s backlinks and gives you suggestions where to get yours.
Cons: It requires a certain level of knowledge in web management and tons of patience. Each tasks gives you an approximate time to spend, but usually it takes way more. Language becomes an issue again if your business is located in a place that the native tongue is other than yours. You will probably have to hire someone that does the work for you and it can get very confusing if your site is not well built.
Some backlinks are either difficult or useless to get, but you can report them so they won’t appear on your task board anymore.

3.- Pro: You can improve your keywords any time and see their results. You can see the statistics and ask for reports.
Cons: If you have an OCD tendency, you will freak out every time you reach a 100% and a day later you see you have two or three more tasks to do on the backlink area and your completed percentage go back a bit. Plus, every time you change a keyword you have to redefine your subpages and it will give you at least 5 or 6 tasks depending on the number of keywords sharing the same subpage.

Ranking Coach also includes Google Analytics and other plugins to integrate to your site. It also offers a free 14-day trial in case you’re not convinced. It is a long process, but you can see immediate results and you’ll notice your visits going up in a very short amount of time. Hopefully, you’ll see your sales increasing shortly too.
